MODERN BEER.
PROPER COMMUNITY.
SINCE 2024.

Lost Cause Brewing Co. started life in Castleford in 2024. What began as two people, a lot of ideas, and a slightly stubborn belief that we could build something good here quickly turned into a proper little community.

In the early days, we were brewing off-site, finding our feet, and getting our beers into the hands of people who were up for trying something new. The taproom grew alongside it, and before long it became clear that if we wanted to do this properly, we needed a space where we could bring everything together.

In 2026, we made the move to Wakefield and built our own brewery and taproom, installing a 10hl brewkit and brewing on site for the first time. It gave us the freedom to brew more of what we love, experiment a bit more, and keep everything closer to home.

Lost Cause was started by Vik and Colin Stronge, combining years of experience across brewing, marketing, and hospitality. Between us, we cover everything from recipe development and production through to branding & illustration, deliveries and the day-to-day running of the business. It’s still a small operation, and everything you see here has had our hands on it.

Since starting out, we’ve brewed a wide range of beers and picked up a bit of recognition along the way, including nominations for design and SIBA Business Awards, and being named Best New Brewery at the Brewers Choice Awards 2025.

At its core, Lost Cause is about making beer we’re proud of and creating a place people actually want to spend time in.
